Choosing a filament winding machine should start from the product drawing, not from a catalog picture. The buyer needs to know the diameter, length, fiber type, resin process and expected output. For example, a pipe line may need Φ300 to Φ3000 mm capacity, while a tank or cylinder machine may focus on Φ10 to Φ1000 mm parts with a
length up to 6000 mm. If the factory plans to change product size often, CNC control and saved programs are worth discussing. It is also better to ask about yarn rack type, tension control, demoulding method and spare parts before signing the order. A careful early discussion usually makes installation smoother and reduces changes after the frame has been welded.
